Horrible service. Food was bland, at best. The side salad came out after the main meal. No herb butter on the steak as stated by the waiter when discussing the fact that our daughter does not like onions…he mentioned they could make the steak without...onions and use herb butter (not on the menu). Steak came out covered in pepper sauce…with onions. The waiter was in denial because he did not want to tell his boss that he messed up. My daughter ate the steak after removing all of the sauce. The waiter then brought out cold/hard herb butter….we didn’t use it. Go somewhere else. Read the negative reviews. First drinks; sat and waited for over minutes before we could order drinks, which were then sat on the bar waiting for waitress to bring them for sometime. Next food, a pizza for my grandson arrived after another minutes, meals for the rest...of the group, another minutes! Very difficult getting any of the staff to listen, apparently they lost our order!! Most of us ate the food, which was OK but my wife had had enough and barely touched her meal, it was getting dark by this time! I pointed out my issues and refused to pay for that dish, eventually this was reluctantly agreed after the rest of my family had left. The location of the terrace in a pedestrian zone close to the little river is perfect. But that's the only positive thing. Very touristy place, in fact they don't show customer care because a constant flow of ignorant tourists makes sure that their tables are...taken. Table cloth was dirty. Pizza was nothing to write home about. Toppings were on the minimum side. White Italian wine was so good that I asked for ice cubes to water it down. Service... many waiters running around...not well organized (a young blond female waitress however tried hard and was friendly). No thank you, Nein Danke, non merci!
Service is terrible, the waitress didn't know the dishes on the menu when asked and even he forgot to order the meals, minutes passed until we decided to ask for our food to another waitress, who in return replied that the waiting time was.. normal for two Schnitzels. Total disrespect to the customer, total waste of a beautiful afternoon in a nice city. Do yourself a favor, don't go to this place.

The restaurant Meridians is located in the Hotel am Markt right along the cataract in the center of the old town, The food is good, typical German cuisine, schnitzel, trout, omletts, plus pizza and italian cuisine like pasta. The food was good, service was OK,...prices were about average. The outside tables offer a nice view.
We ate on the terrace of this restaurant. The service was good and none of us had any complaints about the food generous servings, fresh ingredients, and reasonably priced. The children were made to feel very welcome.
We were here to have some drinks. It feels like you are, as customer, a decoration to the environment the staff has to work in. Probably always busy with tourists who never come back, so they can afford bad reviews.
The food I didn’t like but it’s ok-ish. But the service is absolutely awful. Long waiting I mean one hour for a salad is unacceptable and the waiters are really rude. Not visiting ever again for sure.

I have visited this restaurant several times. The food is nice and the prices reasonable. Especially recommended is their pizza. Service very good and friendly.
