Chez Mona specializes in seafood and does it very well. We have stopped here for dinner 5 times in the past 20 years and never been disappointed. The decor is simple with no frills, but the quality of the food we have eaten is extrordinary - I love both the cod tongues, which I find VERY hard to find elsewhere, and the bouillabaise, while my wife orders only the bouillabaise - huge portions are served, consisting almost entirely of various fish and scallops, nicely (but mildly) spiced, with garlic bread. If you want seafood, you won't be disappointed salmon, halibut, sole, scallops, are also on the menu. We have had bouillabaise in Provence and Quebec City, and prefer it at Mona's/ We find t...

Donc a éviter!

Book a table now

I had their specialty the Bouillabaisse, was very good but a little on the pricey side at $31. My wife had the Ham & Pineapple which was pricey for a ham steak. It did come with soup, salad, potatoe and dessert but was still $17 for 2 pieces of ham. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. The food was great but money is money and it is expensive. It is the only place around to eat so...highly recommend making a reservation as this place is very busy.

This restaurant was Ok, but not stellar. It's primary attraction was its proximity to our hotel (there's not a lot of selection in the area!). I had the cod tongue (which is actually the cheeks), and it was Ok. I liked the saltiness. Canned asparagus was used in their meals, and overall were not overly impressed. They need to kick-up their cuisine a notch. I'd give them 2.5 to 3 points, but rounded up to 3.

Recommended by Alain (Motel du Haut Phare), we dined in this restaurant for two evenings. A team of women for several generations. Excellent, hearty meals in a warm atmosphere. A pleasant dining room (for vintage enthusiasts, do not miss the small room with tables and chairs from the 1950s, real collectors!). A place that we left with regret.

This restaurant is the only one in the area. The seafood is good but expensive, and the rest is not worth it. The owner got our order wrong and it was a big hassle to get the correct dish served!! Book a table now
