We visited this restaurant on Sunday afternoon in 23 August 2015. Because of the unusual number of bees this summer and because the sky looked overcast; we debated whether to sit inside or outside. We finally decided to eat outside and it did not rain...and we only saw one bee during our meal. We did not make a reservation prior to our visit. However, luckily we found a table still available outside when we arrived. The kitchen specializes in German Cuisine. The Menu is a limited Menu with fixed plates. The Menu was easy to read and understand. Plus, salads, soups, and fish plates (for vegetarians) are also available. The Menu also has dishes for those with a small (seniors) or big appetites...
We followed a group of young ladies (I think they were going to a bridal show dinner) to this restaurant, tucked inside a courtyard. We saw quite a bit of local people there so we felt pretty good about our choice. The restaurant has English...menu and the wait staff speak very good English. Their bread and salad both are very fresh and very delicious. My husband ordered the pork chop. The portion was big (and I am from Texas). I took a slice from him and it was so juicy and you could taste the sweetness of the pork. It’s so good that now I couldn’t remember what I had ordered . While we were in Koblenz, we had also dined at one of the very old and highly recommended restaurant from a travel...
we were only in koblenz for 1 night, so we asked for a good German food in our hotel. we received several possibilities, but said that is soauable where the locals go and is the best. the restaurant is back from a...main square that made the beer garden quiet and welcoming. we decided to sit outside, which was very relaxing. the service was great with a friendly waitress who was always contemporary. the exterior have large rain umbrellas that came very practical when it began to care and then rain. this has not dampened our mood or our meal. we both ordered the carving that was excellent! a very unforgettable meal and evening. I hope one day I can return. for a good flight to europe.
We were advised to go to this restaurant by the concierge at our overnight hotel After a 12 hour drive, we were ravenous and just wanted a traditional meal, followed by a wander round Koblenz. We walked into the restaurant just after 7.30, ordered fairly...promptly, and walked out, without having eaten, at 9. No apology and we had to pay for our barely drunk drinks (couldn't drink them without food). By then, it was getting dark, so we had no opportunity to wander round Koblenz. Really unimpressed.

better they have a reservation allthough the place is somehow hidden in the old town of koblenz, all tables are full of the most of the time. the restaurant serves fantastic, up to the local kitchen, beautiful beer and wine and a large selection. the speciality of the house, as the name says, is pork. yet they also find some other dishes, also vegetarian on the menu. price for worth is fantastic in my oppinion. Although it is not the cheap place, they do not pay for their dinner, but fair prices.

a few years ago the sober was in the neighboring and went back. nice to see that the service and food quality were identical. where many restaurants serve simple dishes such as carving, the saubar team makes a very tasteful. beautiful service, terrace and...tasteful food: recommended!
Went to this restaurant in August. Warm, welcoming and unpretentious. The food was exquisite and the wine was divine. Service was impeccable. The handsome Chef even came out of his kitchen to say hello! Would definitely dine here again.
