Someone must have had a sense of humour when they named a restaurant in Weimar Shakespeares considering the town is the home of two of Germany's greatest writers? Perhaps this happened in when England were victorious over (West) Germany in the final of the...World Cup? I think we should be told . . . Anyway, the food and drink that my friend and I received here was fine, with the final bill for several beers each and two mains running in at around thirty euros. Service was attentive and efficient. Would use this place again if visiting the town.

Vey nice old Bar near the entrance, kind of garden room in the backside. A bit noisy (children running around and screaming; no one complained). Dogs allowed, I found a spacious corner where my big dog could lay down; the waiter even thought in bringing...some water, having full house. Good service, fair prices, traditional dishes. Recommendable.
We stopped by here with no knowledge of the place, and we were not disappointed. The waiter was very friendly, and we asked him to bring out some German food, so we didn't order off the menu. Everything he brought out was wonderful. He even...helped us with some words in German. Great place. We had a wonderful meal, and everyone was happy!

we were really 2 nights in order there! an uncanny cozy garden, super tasty eating in super portions and a service that leaves no wish open. we recommend this restaurant easy. were quite mixed age: 36-83 and everyone can find something here!
