Night in Braganca. First please remember that you are in Portugal . For middle and west Europe people the dinner time are not around 6pm but 9pm. Is it still a head of Spain where you cannot go to the restaurant before 9pm and dinner normally start at 10pm. Before the dinner I have time to visit the Braganca castle. Make sense if you are here to go there. After the walking was great to go to the restaurant. We have very good starter, normally this can be enough for me, but we continue and my choice was fish. Very good, no discussions. I see also the beaf steak and other choice and all was really good and really really BIG. I don't taste the local bier, but i take red wine. Very nice. After...
Located on the main avenue in the centre of Braganca, Restaurante Emiclau is accessed downstairs.The interior is modern and appealing and very clean. We had lunch there 'prato do dia ' (dish of the day) always recommended because it offers a choice of fish or meat and is always excellent VFM in any Portuguese restaurant. Emiclau is very popular and not surprisingly the food was delicious and the service excellent given the number of customers.Well worth a visit.
High Quality of ingredients, great service and best value per money with generous portions! Never had such a big delicious Octopus and Cod was out of this world! I was with a group and had the chance to taste different preparations, ask for suggestions if you are not sure, but honestly this experience is a travel itself in a authentic Portuguese Cuisine!
