Taxi is located in a residential neighborhood where the buildings ground floors are occupied by commercial venues. Parking isn’t easy bur you’ll find one if you are patient. The interiors of the restaurant are not the reason to go there as they are quite ordinary if not horrible. The Taxi staff on the other hand are super friendly and always there to serve you with a smile. The food is very yummy and I recommend all things charcoal grilled namely the pork rack of ribs. Excellent!
The food was good don’t get me wrong but it’s a little on the pricey side for the typical “tasca” in Lisbon. The portions are individual and they’re pretty small. The service wasn’t the best, had to ask for bread and then had to ask for butter to go with the bread because it wasn’t given at first. And I finished my meal without the salad I ordered. So yeah, it was a one time thing because it was recommended by a friend.
OMG, if you have a chance to eat here, DO! All what I could think about was, “someone has been tasting their food, ooooo.” The ribs was so savory, you just closed your eyes to solidify a concrete memory of eating them. I stuffed myself so much, they asked if we wanted more, and everyone’s eyes widened like NO! We would all bust, it was that good. Every time I go to Portugal, which is yearly, I’m going back. Really great meal, very simple menu, pretry much everything is cooked on the massive grill you walk past as you go in. The steak was very good, but it was the ribs that were really stand out. These are not your tastless fall off the bone boiled ribs you tend to see these days, but meaty, succulent and the eat with your hands type. That big smoky grill certainly does not dissapoint!
o único lugar onde eu sou um piano. Ótimo. saboroso, bem temperado, bem feito. Out and about in Lisboa. Saw this small Jem. Of a Restaurante. Cafe! All the locals we're queuing up to eat here. All meals seem to cost 6.50€ house wine 3.00 € a Lt. Meal for two less than 20.00€. Would We go back? Yes We Would. Waitress that served us... probably Maria? Was so friendly. And helpful.
