I walked over to the pier, where this restaurant is located. I was visiting from Castro Marim 10-15 minutes away. I ordered a cappuccino was getting hungry. It was 4-4:30, most restaurants would not open until 6:30 or 7:00. Then I realized this was more than just a snack bar, even tho’ the sign on the outside says “Snack Bar.” It’s a full restaurant. They offer tapas during this “in-between” time. Since we’re on the border with Spain and many people come for the afternoon on the river ferry, tapas make sense . Not far from the Square, right on the river and adjacent to the ferry, this venue couldn’t be better placed yet no one has reviewed it! We were in Vila Real over Christmas and the weather was superb, allowing us to sit outside in the sun for coffees and lunches. Service is good, the food is well cooked and good value, and the bustle of a popular local cafe made for a pleasant eating experience. I hope travellers reading this will visit and review the snack bar deserves it!
I’ve took my cousin for lunch, we ordered 2 tuna toasties and it took 1 h to be served! The waitress was alone with full external área trying to clear all tables as soon as possible. She was really nice and helpful but not fast enough. It took 15min to bring us other juice and by the time we finished we had to wait again 10 min to be able to pay. They should think about hiring more staff. The girls are overworked and that slows down the service. Book a table now
beautiful location on the side of the river with the marina next to them we were a party of six to dinner on Saturday night. eating was of a beautiful quality, service really good. we have been in the past several times and will be in the future
Lindo lugar na Vila Real de Santo Antônio, vista para o Rio e para Marina. Comemos uma salada deliciosa e tomamos um chopp Super Bock, antes de pegar o Ferry para Ayamontes, onde o fuso era uma hora adiantado. Vale muito o passeio!
Pedi 2 pratos e 2 bebidas, chegaram bebidas e depois um prato. O segundo prato demorou 15 minutos para chegar, quando minha parceira já havia terminado o dela e teve que esperar por mim. Não é um bom serviço.
