food was excellent as is the view. Service could be improved waitstaff although well intentioned did not know basics of proper service eg should not be removing the plate from under you while your party is still eating. Loud and extremely bad music made conversation very challenging across the table. This was the biggest reason not to return. Not a relaxing ambiance.
This place has so much potential, but the food is overpriced and extremely bland. Something needs to be done with the menu and who is coming up with the preparations of all the plates. I have lived in Baltimore for years and have given this place tries with their food. I will only go for drinks from now on until the chef is changed
The place was nice but underwhelming. There was very little signage to help you find the restaurant. The food was lacking in flavor and was overpriced. I had the crab pasta and there was very little crab in it. The burger my friend got was honestly better than the crab pasta. It was tho so it should have been good
Loved Topside! Charcuterie board and the add-on bread selection as outstanding. Both of us had the black lobster pasta which was presented with a very clever shell construction over well cooked black noodles. Also, our Peabody Institute student server was efficient and lovely. Definitely worth a return visit! Book a table now
Prices have definitely risen since some past visits. The view is great and we enjoyed the food and drink options. It felt like the place needed a little bit more polish (wobbly table, online menu and open hours out of date).
It turned out that Topside was closed, which was disappointing. But we had drinks outside o the ground floor and enjoyed the experience greatly. We'll be back again to sample Topside when it is open
This restaurant is one of my top choices for both casual dining and special occasions. It's a hidden gem that consistently provides enjoyable meals and social experiences. I absolutely love it!
