Am gestrigen Nachmittag trafen wir uns mit Freundinnen in der Rheinwacht. Vor ‘Corona’ waren wir in dem Lokal sehr gerne und wurden sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend von überwiegend weiblichen Aushilfskräften bedient. Gestern an dem Hauptlokal (mit Tischdecken Service) waren die Zugänge mit Kordeln abgeschirmt. Zwei ‘Kellner’ unterhielten sich privat im abgesperrten Restaurantbereich und beachteten uns als Neuzugänge nicht. Erst auf Nachfrage konnten wir einen Bediensteten entlocken, dass wir keinen Platz im Tischdeckenbereich bekommen, wenn wir nur Getränke zu uns nehmen wollten. Auf weitere Nachfragen erfuhren wir, dass wir uns im Selbstbedienungsbereich unsere Getränke selber holen müßten...
the rheinwacht is a traditional German pub/restaurant visited by locals. it has a bavarianic cottage restaurant on the rheins. eating is rustic and German with generous portions. they serve good German beer. we had made a walk through the Rhine and stopped here for lunch. we were very welcome; the meal was tasty and we would go back in the face of the possibility.
On Sunday 13.11.22 there is an old and wooden jack steak with gratin ordered, small gratin peel and medium to English* fried steak. Operation still asks if everything is OK and after that I showed the almost raw meat I will give it on so his statement, nothing happened. Not more than half of them. paid (22,50) .. but all otherwise very friendly
In a few words: super delicious food, cozy atmosphere and a relaxed view of the Rhine with the passing ships. I want to forgive 10 stars, but unfortunately only 5 are possible. Service: Dine in Meal Type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5.

We stopped with our bikes for a beer and some desserts. The strawberry tiramisu was declious. Great place with a nice view over the river.
Delicious food and friendly staff. You can sit outside right on the Rhine. Of course you pay 1-2€ more. The style must be a natural one.
