Solid lunch bowl that was absolutely packed by the staff member working today (thank you! .Pros: extremely filling and tasty, thick cuts of tofu, streamlined written ordering process, and friendly staff.Cons: toppings are limited to four (which is unlike a lot of other bowl-centered restaurants , comparatively high prices on all but the veggie bowl, and unclear signage about the ordering process/procedures. Some people (me got in line like I was at a Cava or Chipotle, ready to go step by step and oblivious to the paper ordering forms.

The Rice Bar is a prime example of how not all ethnic cuisines can successfully transition to the Chipotle model of customizable rice bowls. Instead of offering flavorful options and sauces, this restaurant disappoints with bland choices that ultimately ruin the affordable and delicious meal experience. Save your money and avoid this tasteless, overpriced establishment. Look for a family-run Korean restaurant for a more authentic and tasty dining experience, rather than settling for the uninspired offerings of this corporate chain.
We arrived at 6 pm to an empty restaurant. Should have been a red flag, right? My husband and I ordered noodles; his ramen and chicken, me tofu and rice noodles. So the the noodles are already cooked and in a fridge, just heated up in some hot water and not properly drained; then they add pre-cooked veg, so very limp. My tofu had no flavour. There is no garlic or ginger or any flavour to anything!!! So for $35 we got mushy bowls of reheated noodles and pre-cooked veg and protein. Very bland, very mushy, give this place a miss.
If you’re ever at Whole Foods sushi section, and contemplating on paying $10 for a simple salmon roll, don’t. Just scoot your hungry tush out of the store, cross H street, walk past the Starbucks and you’ve got yourself some yummy sushi rolls priced under $7 $14 if you want fancy stuff. Could not ask for a better place to get my sushi and bimbimbap fix on H street. The staff are always so kind as well. Easy to order for carry-out. Book a table now
I had a great experience at this restaurant with delicious food and attentive service. The only reason I rated it a 4 out of 5 is because I requested my dish to have equal parts lettuce and rice, but there was barely any lettuce in it.
Typical dc. Try so hard on the gentrified interior design so they can get away with charging an amount no where near proportional to the quality of the food. So bland, so boring. A dangerous trend in this city...
Excellent value for the money, always a reliable experience. The staff at this restaurant is incredibly friendly and helpful. It's also very convenient to visit.
The miso ramen was ok not as good as the Japanese style. But it hit the spot on a cold winter Book a table now
The exquisite taste and extensive mouthwatering recipes make this place one of my favorite.
