Our go-to dish is the vegetable udon noodles with soft tofu, but if you want to he healthy, add some chili sauce a bit of soy sauce to the steamed veggies with tofu. The recently added sushi is simple but refreshing. Lots of fruit options and sometimes they'll make us an extra sushi salad! We love to sit at the bar as a couple, but at a table when we come with the kids. The staff are very friendly. Service is amazingly quick. The restaurant does huge amounts of take-out. Rice valley is probably one of the finest Chinese food restaurants anywhere in NE. Growing up in Newton and still live here and after south pacific and China sails closed l started going to Golden temple in Brookline until I walked into Rice valley. Was really expecting more since I had been a couple years ago and remembered it being amazing. Lo mein smelled funky and tasted like nothing. Twice cooked pork was barely spicy and also had no flavor. Dumplings were solid though. Quality relative to priceis definitely pretty low, overall disappointing.
This restaurant in Newton serves the best and fastest Chinese food. It's amazing how they can prepare the food in just 15 minutes. Especially during football season, this place is my go-to for a quick meal. I don't get to have Chinese food often, but when I do, these are the people I rely on.

The owner, host and hostesses have always been gracious and polite. They have both American Chinese and authentic Chinese food which appeals a lot to my blended family.
Although the food has a Chinese name, the taste has been improved for Americans. Lots of beans in Sichuan style chicken, LOL.
