Let me say I am booking for this new years eve when they open tomorrow. not going to name the staff but they were all fantastic the food was amazing and the atmosphere incredible, I have not had such a good time for years. We went for the 9.30 sitting so we would be there for the new year we lft about 2.00 am new years i believe it went on to closer to 5.00. So disappointed........in the area for one night, fancied a Pizza and looking at the reviews for Oakwood area we felt spoilt for choice. Unfortunately we chose wrong. I hate to be unkind, but the pizza was awful. Whilst it smelt amazing...the base unfortunately had the biscuity consistency of a bought in base, no better than a Supermarket base. Loaded with far too much topping, so impossible to eat without a knife and fork.....and after a few minutes a pool of grease lay on top of the topping from the cheap cheesy topping, we gave up halfway through our pizzas. I really wish 'authentic family run Italian restaurants ' would make clear that their pizzas aren 't cooked in a wood fire oven and...
We ate here Christmas Eve.Didn't pre-book but a quick phone call and they managed to squeeze us in . I had bruschetta and other half tomato garlic bread.Garlic bread was lovely,but my bruschetta was tasteless. For mains we had lasagne and diavola pizza,no complaints there. Even though restaurant was packed,service was friendly and efficient by Heather and staff. Nice to see a local family run restaurant thriving.
me and my family have been coming here for years and love everything about it. the food is spectacular and brilliant value for money, the staff are so friendly, and the restaurant itself is a fabulous set up, we have never had a bad experience here.

Went with wife Christine to celebrate my son Jonjo’s 40th birthday, lovely meal, friendly atmosphere. My wife had pasta and we both had excellent pizza. Really worth a visit.
