As I live in the area for many years I decided to treat my friend as we got into the restaurant and chose our table a voice from what seem to come from the kitchen shouted as if in a fish market, 'NO YOU CAN 'T SIT THERE '. I was shocked an offended, then a woman who I assumed was the manager came out and explained that the table we chose were for her regulars who did 'nt like sitting anywhere else. Thats fine, but I would have expected more professionalism. I did 'nt want to stay but my friend still wanted to try the food which tbh was nice......... This could have been a one off and was quite off putting as first impressions last, but I 've decided I wont be back.
Went for a birthday meal. Everything was great apart from the food been really slow. We found out later that there were staff shortages. But all the staff were extremely friendly, even brought out a portion of chips that we hadn't ordered but for my little boy. It was a birthday treat for myself so having the whole restaurant sing happy birthday was great. Will definitely go back, food was delicious, staff were amazing
We love this friendly Italian restaurant. Service, atmosphere and food are fantastic with complementary home baked bread on arrival. A recent visit was more expensive than usual, however. I guess like many businesses they've had to put up prices to cope with escalating costs (especially drinks). £70 for 2 people: 2 bottles of Peroni beer, bottle of Merlot, 1 starter, bowl of mixed olives, 1 pizza and 1 chicken dish.
We absolutely adore Ricos. Tuesday night was peaceful and quiet. We got there right when it opened, and as expected, the food and service were outstanding and absolutely delicious. You will never go hungry at Ricos because the portion sizes are generous - you definitely get your money's worth. This restaurant is a hidden gem in the local community, run by a lovely family. The entire team is fantastic.

The service and atmosphere were excellent. However, the food did not live up to my expectations from previous visits. The pizza was a bit soggy and toppings were falling off. It could have been undercooked or the crust was too thin, or possibly both. I hope this was just a one-time occurrence.
The service was splendid however my starter came undercooked and cold.I don’t know who you have as a starter chef but i think it may need some reevaluation.Have been going to this restaurant since i was little and can see the standards dropping now due to the new staffing.
Superb spot with delicious Italian food great service sizeable portions..Great food great atmosphere..fantastic friendly staff It's a must...Place to visit...my 8th time and its still firing on all cylinders..The calfs liver and mash is sooo tender and soooo yummy
This restaurant is always fantastic. We absolutely adore it. The staff is incredibly friendly and make you feel like part of the family. The food is absolutely delicious. Just be cautious of the generous portion sizes!
