My husband and I visited this restaurant with our 3 children (12, 9 and 4). From the moment we set foot into the grounds we did not feel welcome. We had a 7.30 table booked and arrived in the car park a little early when my husband had to take a call from work. During his phone call he was consistently approached by a young girl and man who wanted to know what he was doing there. They then approached me while I was in the car asking me the same question. On entering the restaurant on that extremely hot sunny evening, we were shown to our table which was directly in the sun. We asked to be moved to a table with was away from the sun and we were refused, the reason being that it was reserved ....
We went to this restaurant unsure what to expect but we were not disappointed. Situated off the main road it’s not somewhere you would just stumble across but it’s well worth looking for. The ambiance was relaxed and comfortable and the service was warm and friendly. We ordered starters and mains, and they were both excellent. For our main course we both had the rib eye steak which was the best I’ve had for a while. Just delicious. I would really recommend this lovely restaurant. The only downside was that it was so quiet and we were the only diners. Go and give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
We went to this restaurant last evening and were delighted with it. It was quiet (to be fair, it was also a Monday). It is a little off the beaten track, but once you know where it is it's very easy to find. The food was delicious; generous portions (we liked that they do half portions of some dishes) and very tasty indeed. Couldn't fault the ambience, the food and the service. An absolute pleasure. It is an equestrian centre, and I don't ride, but having been to this place I could easily be tempted. I strongly recommend this restaurant if your in the area.
The food in this out of the way restaurant was superb. Owners were so friendly. We came here at the same time last year and were not disappointed. Not cheap but great value
