We ate here with friends last week, who stayed at the place next door. Very nice athmosphere, great ambiance, it is a popular restaurant (you have to make reservations) but it doesn't feel crowded or noisy. Food great, we had Flammkuchen which is an old German dish, sort of like a very thin pizza/pancake thingy. So nice they offer such specialities on the menu next to the common dishes. You get your money's worth for sure. The drinks are huge. Our friends really wanted a certain dessert, which they didn't have, which is a real shame, but the rest of the options were yummy as well, so no big deal. We had a lot to catch up with, with our friends, so we stayed for hours and were the last to lea...

Dined on a Saturday night in late September as a group of seven and just as well I had booked a table as the restaurant was quite busy. Riegers is on Rankgasse which is a little side street very close to the main square. The menu is a modern take on the local cuisine. I had a mixed salad to start, pork culets with chili sauce and noodles and for dessert kaiserschmarren which were shredded pancakes served with a plum compote. Everything was delicious.Service was extremely friendly with good English spoken by our lovely waitress. They even prepared separate bills for all of us. Apologies for being such awkward customers! My share of the bill, including wine and water, came to just under €35.

From the pictures I had thought this might be a casual spot but no it was elegant and cosy. From the professional service to the beautiful silver items decorating the room. The patio looked to have lovely furniture and heaters but we sat inside in 1 of 2 rooms. I started with salmon carpaccio with arugula and lime dressing. My main was pork roast saurbraten with sweet and sour cabbage and potato herb dumplings. Beautifully presented food with plenty of wine options for pairing. Dessert was creme brulee with red berries and strawberry sorbet. We had a few language difficulties but it all worked out fine. You'll want to make a reservation. It was full on a Tuesday night.

Unfortunately, we only managed to eat here once on our holiday, as the restaurant was closed on our second week. That was a great disappointment to us, as the meal we had here was one of the best on our holiday. The venison I had for the main course was absolutely fantastic. The waitresses were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was very busy, mainly with locals, so booking is essential. If we return to Oberstdorf, this will be one of the first restaurants we visit. Book a table now

we found this restaurant by chance and decided to stay. the menu was short and sweet, you could see that they have a clear passion for fresh local food. Overall, this restaurant serves creative and very balanced food. the presentation is fantastic and the...tastes balance itself. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who lives in oberstdorf.

this place is located on the main roads, but well worth the walk. I had been happy to turn in the restaurant and get a table on Tuesday at 18.30 a.m., but after that all visitors were politely turned away, I would recommend. to book. eating was excellent and quite expensive and the staff was friendly. will go back to the next city.

Came here with high expectations and they were met with on all levels. Food was innovative yet still very much in line with the best of Bavaria. They even had a vegan/ vegetarian/ no carb option!! Very rare in these parts and much appreciated by my wife. Service was excellent as well. Will be definitely returning soon.

a really beautiful and delicious place! we came here to dinner and had the kohlrabi suppe, which one must try together with the goat cheese appetizer - then we had the rump steak and the truffle noodles that were both very delicious! one of our top places to visit!
