"Not bad, certainly a greater variety of tapas than usual."

A very busy place which the staff managed very well. Nice and clean and basic layout. The food was traditional and being a Vegetarian the choice isn't great, and frankly looked really bland on the plate. But it was quite good with garlic and salt and pepper. Pleasantly surprised. Would I go back? Yes I would but for a quick bite/pit stop rather than a food experience. 3.5 stars would be a fair appraisal, above average but not great.

A perfect place to grab a quick, inexpensive but satisfying meal. All of their food for the day are prepared and put on display. When you order, they just take a portion and heat it up in the microwave before serving. What you get is very quick service for homey, comforting dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed the snails, callos, and mushrooms. It's a great place to eat hot, flavorful stews especially during the cold autumn/winter nights.

Super awesome place for very traditional basque stews. The desserts are great too and what's really nice is that the menu is only a list of all the options they ever have, what they'll have on the day, you'll see (they'll have most things, to be fair). Prices are super decent too and the stews are oh so great. Absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking to experience real basque fare.

This restaurant quickly became our favorite place in Bilbao to enjoy a basic and cheap meal. The place is crowded, but the staff has it all under control. The food is simple, but delicious and the fish is as fresh as you would want it. Don’t miss out on the desserts, they are all delicious! Book a table now

Jam-packed but still made a table for us and were welcoming despite my limited Spanish. Wine was good, tenderloin steak was absolutely excellent, as was the lamb stew. Lovely dinner all-round!

The food is really good! But, please, could someone from the staff learn English or be nicer with non-Spanish people? : that’s really sad because the food and the atmosphere are great!

Good food at a good price. To be honest, we got sick of pintxos and wanted some proper meals, so were glad to find this place after some investigations and trying some other places.

Great location, lively restaurant with good food. It's a bit different to the pinxtos served in most places which is a nice change. The menu is mostly really good flavoursome stews. Book a table now

Typical Bibao restaurant serving regional staples. Wander round the bar to see the large dishes of tonight’s menu. Reasonably priced too.
