I love supporting local businesses and often visit different cafes for brunch. I have to say that the food and drinks at Rise were quite nice, but the service left much to be desired. I stopped by today, and it was surprisingly quiet compared to the bustling spots across the street. We ordered food and drinks, but felt completely overlooked by the staff. It was frustrating to have to stand up and ask for assistance when they weren’t even busy. With so many great cafe options in town, I don’t think I’ll be returning.
Dirty Toilets , The staff doesn't know anything about cafe .. the Owner Rise is From Iran and lived in Germany . he told me that he lived in Germany for over 10 years. and it is better live then here .. i asked him ! why you left Germany and came to England if its poor here for you ? He couldn't answer me . His coffee with bad and the tables weren't clean .. I noticed all the staff are Iranian , they kept look at people up and down . never go there again.
The restaurant is cozy and reasonably clean. The service is laid-back; the staff tends to keep their distance unless you seek them out, which I personally appreciate, as I prefer not to be bothered. I had breakfast, which was quite enjoyable. The sausages were of good quality, and the coffee had some robust flavor. I’m giving it four stars, however, because I only received one hash brown with my meal.
Popped in for a coffee until I saw the menu, had a beautiful steak and onion sandwich and coffee was one of the best I've had. Friendly staff if I'm in the area definitely call again
