I used to go to this resuarant quite a lot but in the end lost patience. I found the owner and staff to be unfriendly and got the impression that they weren't concerned about customer service simply because the restaurant is so popular, and so...they could afford to lose customers. I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I like to be greeted and smiled at when I dine out. Sadly this didn't happen at Al Dente. The food is average to good, nothing special and the ambiance is rather charming, considering the location of the restaurant on an industrial estate. Sadly the lack of charm of the staff put me off. I also don't like the fact that people are allowed to smoke in this rest...
We've eaten many times in this small italian restaurant and always really enjoyed the food. The fish is very good and the pasta as well especially Spaghetti with parmiggiano. There are also day specials that add some variation to the menu. Unfortunately the service leaves...a lot to be desired, the waiters look overworked and sometimes it takes quite a while for your order to arrive. As the restaurant is generally very crowded you might want to make a reservation. If you're a smoker, they have a special room for you guys

I ate here on a last business trip with colleagues. it was a quite standard Italian menu, but all the dishes we ordered, saw and tasted very well. mixed plates of anti pasti were very good. tagliatelle with truffles as main was excellent. beautiful. friendly atmosphere and service. in any case recommend.

I experienced fabulous food here. Started with a fish platter and carpaccio and then had a fillet coocked to perfection. The gorgonzola sauce on the side with the fillet was a pity as the fillet was good alone but it was so good that I...had to dip everything else in it. Atmosphere is nice.
True, authentic Italian food. The pasta in the parmesan wheel is incredible, the salmon, lasagna, tuna salad are all delicious. I have eaten here numerous times and they do not disappoint
