Ate here last night. Asked for a bottle of house red to accompany our meal. When the bill arrived we were shocked to find we had been given one of the most expensive bottles at 35 euros. Obviously we challenged this to be told they don't do house wine in a bottle so had given us that. And as we had drank it there was nothing they could do. The waitress offered a complimentary drink to apologise for OUR misunderstanding (this was the same complimentary drink given to all dinners). The final straw was the waiter who served us sniggering about it. Very bad way to treat customers. I will never eat here again and advise anyone who does to order carefully.
We chose this restaurant based on the outside menu and look and were happily surprised. At first I was unsure because we had our infant son but then a big family with kids arrived so I felt less bad about having a small child in an otherwise quiet, romantic restaurant of mostly adults. For two adults, appetizer, drinks and main courses it was approximately forty euro which I consider reasonable. We enjoyed our dishes and the service was quite good. We were offered a high chair and space was found for our stroller during the meal. Overall good and I would return or recommend.
My mum has been here many times as she visits Oberstdorf every year, however I had never been and from what I heard from her and other people who had been I was so excited to try and I was not let down. The food was excellent and the staff were really friendly. We did not book and were surprised to get a seat. I had the pasta with peas, ham and mushrooms - I reccommend it.
After still eating Bayers food, we visied one evening the Ilalian restaurant. Staf was friendly and we got a nice table. The food was good and sufficient. There were many people. The restaurant is in one of the mainstreets. There is a lot of choise and the prices are normal.

We were recommended by a local to come here and were not disappointed. Great service and amazing food and managed to get in without a booking. Thanks for looking after us so well during our brief visit to Oberstdorf.
Very good Italian restaurant with many choises. The restaurant is large en very nice decorated. The was very good and not too expensive. We can recommend Il Tartufo. Two years ago we also were here.
We where there for a lunch. At that time pizza and pasta dishes are on discount. The service was quick and the food and drinks are good. Prices are reasonable.
Great place to eat pasta with seafood. Also an advantage is that this restaurant is not closing the kitchen by 9 am as some of the other places.

We ate a great steak and vegetables. The pasta is also very good. You have to make a reservation if you want to get a table for dinner.
Great Pizza, very friendly staff. Offer for lunch, 7€ each Pizza or Pasta. Nice outdoor seating.
