I had the opportunity to photograph a few of their treats. after speaking with the nice owner, Theo I learned that Rita's, established in 1982 has over 600 franchise locations nationwide with only 3 in Michigan. He told me his favorite family memories as a youngster his parents would take the family to Pennsylvania during the summers and his favorite place to stop was, you guessed it, RITA'S. He has only been open for 4 months but I was very impressed with the sweet young lady behind the counter who has great customer service skills and the clean and fresh environment. But most of all, the taste of their Reese's peanut butter sundae and their vanilla custard oreo cookie. I am not a sweet too...
Obsessed. Had Rita?s on the east coast and dreamed about getting more the next time I got to NJ. Found out by accident last summer we had two in the area. Thankfully I have to drive 40 minutes to get to one of the locations. Otherwise this would me dinner on hot days during the week. Must try ! You won?t be disappointed. Their is a reason this company is an ?institution?.

Amazing Italian ice is always fresh, has a great range of flavor selections, and the frozen custard is the best! Highly recommend
