Italian ice is like sorbet. It 's dairy-free and basically tiny ice crystals and fruit. Something that you just have to try to understand. Also, the soft serve at Ritas is OUTSTANDING!!We (Philly/South Jersey) call it wooder ice and the original flavors are cherry and lemon. Throw some of the soft serve in there for a nice Gellato!The people at Rita 's are super nice and customer service is really at the cornerstone of their core values. I really love everyone who works at this location. We hit it every time we 're in the general area; even if we just ate.
The service was quick and friendly, and there was a lot of food choices but not too many. There was a lot of different types of treats as well as tons of toppings for everything. There are also a lot of types if the flavored ice, with the best looking being the blue raspberry. It was all really delicious. I got the frozen custard swirl and it was so much better than normal soft serve. It was very thick and flavorfull.
The woman working that night seemed to know that I had a really tough day. Consequently, I left my wallet at home and when I attempted to use Apple Pay to purchase ice cream, she informed me that it was not accepted. Despite that, she gave me the ice cream for free. I am deeply grateful for her generosity, and it definitely improved my otherwise unpleasant day.
The server was super friendly answering all my questions like which Italian ice might have the highest sour-to-sweet ratio. We got educated on the most popular treat of frozen custard base, Italian ice, then custard top. I can see this place as very popular when it’s warm out.

Just ok. The vanilla custard was super thick with an artificial flavor aftertaste and no real dairy flavor. The Mango Italian ice had the consistency of a very thick slushy with tiny ice crystals, and the flavor was like jello. The service was meh.
My first time here. Staff was friendly and explained the items on the menu. I told them what I wanted, they made a recommendation and I was super pleased with my order!!!!
We love this place. We are definitely regulars here. Their flavors change throughout the week which adds to the variety.
