River City Donuts is like most other place with similar morning fair you would expect to find. Quite the same choice as many other shops. That was my first stop for donuts in the area, so I don't have any reference points. I have a yeast base (soaked coconut) and a cake base (beautiful). Both seemed as good as any other place I was. I noticed some sausages croissants on the counter, but they were essentially sausages on a cut open croissant... would have tried to bake the sausages inside. It was fast in and out and the prices seemed good at .65 each and 1/2 dozen for $3.70ish. Inside seemed clean even if the outside was somewhat rough. I should probably return.
This place has much better tasting donuts than Shipley's, Dunkin and Krispy Kream. This is a small mom and pop operation that fights against the company mass-produced donut facilities and wins them. You're the only donuts I buy. Every Tuesday morning I bring two dozen sorted donuts to the staff and my staff always ask me where I get these donuts. Support the little guys and buy your donuts from this big little business.
This is a small mother and pop donut shop. They have a good selection of donuts and they taste better than Dunkin or Shipley's. Kolaches are okay, but I'd stick with the donuts. There's an old time counter where you can bring your kids to eat some donuts. There is no drive thru. The building has expired a little, but don't let it get out of here. I've never been in the bathroom, but it looks small and around the back.
Mmm kolaches! Best donuts and kolaches ever! I'm always in and out in less than 5min when I pick up before work. This is such a wonderful place. Also, the cashier lady is always cheerful and friendly!
