The table waiter is wonderful, but the bartenders are certainly missing. Definitely not friendly. I was not greeted for some time, and when we were recognized, it seems like an effort to even give us a drink. Quite right rude. Even worse for the couple sitting next to me. So much so that they leaned and said it was so for a while. It wasn't the first time. Terrible. It wasn't busy. Two bartenders. Male and female. So sad that such a large local restaurant represents these two people River City. We hope they will change soon. This is my first review at all, but I felt compelled to be a former restaurant owner. Sometimes we get caught as owner and don't know the face of our facility is ruined.
Went there for dinner last night with friends. We?re headed to another restaurant and hear good things so stopped here instead. A couple of things to know about RC 1. Boom Boom shrimp Appetizer was very good. A different subtle boom boom sauce that was wonderful 2. I and my friend had the schnitzel and really liked it 3. Wife had the salmon special and it was perfectly cooked 4. Friend had a steak seen below almost seemed blackened she really liked it 5. Place is Very large 6. Extensive menu with a lot of choices 7. Entrees range from $18 to $30 Great restaurant we will definitely be back
Great downtown Punta Gorda restaurant. The City River Grill, and Italia, are joined retaurants. The food is excellent. The menu perfect for this style American restaurant. The Italia has a Italian food menu and is different from the Grill side. The servers are friendly and efficient. The decor suits the restaurant style. The only gripe we had is that the booths are small. A large person would not fit. One of the top rated restaurants in Punta Gorda with a well deserved reputation.
Comfortable café atmosphere. Friendly staff. Menu and wine list. Offer gluten-free food. Prices are usually moderate. Great place for a birthday... since Zelebrant gets a free piece of cake decorated with candle! Happy Birthday is not sung! Look at it!
