I used to go to Roast all the time when I worked in the area. Now we go when the mood strikes. The first time was amazing and just how I remember. The last two times have been horrible. The second time they forgot half the order and I should have checked, but only noticed when I got home (which is a bit of a drive). They were nice enough to refund what was missing, but I wasn't about to drive back to get the food replaced. This last time was just... horrible. I haven’t had all the menu items, but the chicken Panini and the crispy bacon ranch salad are so so good. I’ve experimented with some other sandwiches didn’t like them, but the reason why it’s a three star is because of the customer service. Not every time, but on multiple occasions when I call in to make a order for pick up I get greeted with a immediate “please hold” and I get put on hold for almost 15 minutes and then they hang up on me. I get that they’re busy and it’s teenager run but 10+ minutes is way too much. I still love roast but it gets annoying. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
Wait was a bit too long for my to-go grilled cheese to come out not even a little toasted. The tomato soup was good but the half sandwich combo was not worth the $12. I cannot recommend the two slices of unmelted cheese on barely warm bread. I had a chicken sandwich there recently that was good so hoped the best for this one. What a let down. I love roast! Been going here since it opened when I was in high school. Amazing to see how they've kept their promise of quality food all while expanding their menu options.
