My favorite pub in the old town, Wm Hawkes is a great place for a few beers and a chin wag when you're in the area. A good and varied selection of genuine seas and spirits with a unique atmosphere and a new team of employees who always feel welcome. I could live at the opposite end of the city, but this is my 'local'! Roll on December and the end of the lockdown!
Just a really nice, traditional place for drinks. I've walked past so many times and been put off because it's hard to see in but the low light and candles are much of what give it its character (and made my photos terrible). The beers are draught ales and the only bottled beers are alcohol free. Anyway, well worth dropping in.
Visited for the first time last night and I love it absolutely here. It's my atmosphere to tea. There are a variety of Ales to taste and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again and again. I might have found my grandfather.
We had the best time in this pub the walls are filled with history and the bar staff were super fun.
