By fat some of the worst food I've eaten in years! The ribs look either boiled or baked, they are gray colored and smothered in a red sauce that tastes nothing like bbq. Pretty gross, my babe almost threw up. The fried chicken was so dark and oil soaked. Completely inedible and had no seasoning at all. The fried flounder was basically a piece of fish covered in flour and fried in old oil. Paid over $50 just to eat 3 bites, throw it all away, and grab Wendy's. SMDH.... save yourself the disappointment and complete waste of time (and MONEY) and EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE!
This was not no BBQ. The sauce tasted like straight ketchup. The coleslaw was, I'm lost for words, nasty. The ribs looked like they were boiled and then put on a grill. The pulled pork was not pulled but chopped in some unrecognizable sauce to me. The only thing good on my plate was the Mac and cheese, and they only give you 2 small spoon fills. They need to do better and maybe learn true BBQ under a pitmaster. This is the longest review I've ever written, but the food I got was just not what I would call BBQ and I have had some great BBQ.
One day before New Years Eve. I walked in to order food. Our food was delicious and we enjoyed it on New Years Eve night. The people at Rocky Mount are pleasant to work with and checked on our food frequently. They were very busy and everyone had patience and waited nicely for their food! Ordered our black eyed peas which were delicious ? Have a great year everyone at Rocky Mount.Parking: Park and walk into restaurant.
Delicious food served promptly by friendly people. Everything is prepared exactly as you want it to be, too. They'll also prepare off-menu items for you if they have the ingredients. The atmosphere is nice. Everything is clean and well-kept. My highest recommendation.
