I've been to Rodney's many times & it was great every time!!!Surprise beers on tap, YUMMMMMYYYYYY food, happy chatty staff, groovy décor & furniture, spinning tunes & a fun fun fun vibe!!!!Most nights they are open they have a deal of some sort & a band playing. Some nights there is a wee cover charge between certain hours.High tables & seating at the front.Lower tables & seating towards the back on either side of the double opened fireplace.Mixture of both outside & in the courtyard.Love the eco toilets to :)Oh, & probably a super helpful bonus - the train line (Mosman Park Station) is across the road!!!My only wee negative is the smoking in the courtyard/outside. I'm almost reluctant to write this review as Rodney's is one of those closely guarded local secrets. Very Melbournian in that the single fronted entrance in a row of terrace shops doesn't give any clues to the cool bar that is waiting. The use of an old boat as the bar is the hallmark of the theme of Rodney's. The beers are different, wine list eclectic and the food great. The bar goes back for ever with different rooms and then eventually to an outdoors alfresco area right out the back. A double sided open fire gives a fantastic ambience and regular live music adds to the vibe. Be warned on Friday and Saturday nights as it gets jammed - but for good reason!
The type of neighbourhood bar that Perth has been crying out for. Too many watering-holes in Perth involve a car or taxi-ride to some epicentre of evening activity (Freo, Leederville, etc). With Rodneys you get a cool and intimate local often packed to the rafters with familiar faces from the neighbourhood and assorted blow-ins. The bar is constructed from a boat, the music and general atmosphere is like gatecrashing a neighbour's house party and the beer is excellent. The planners of Perth are trying to create more community and they could do a lot worse than sticking a Rodneys in every suburb.
Great place to have a drink and meet friends. Sometimes a queue on busy mainstream nights which I wouldn't line up for. But other times it's great. Much better than the bar down the road for sure.The drinks are reasonably priced but a Japanese beer would go down better. They have great music and the crowd is very diverse which is a good thing. No violence have I seen ever. Quirky interior for sure but the vibe, people and staff is what you come back for.

My best friend and I went here on a girls night out, as we had been meaning to try this bar for a while, and it did not disappoint! Super cool fit out, very retro, and awesome beer selection. Shoutout to the amazing bar team, Ella, Gabe & Jimbo!
A visual feast where the decor has a strong local ocean theme...think sharks on the ceiling .... where the bar is a converted boat .... and where the music changes every night. Great fun for a night out with friends.
Such a grubby little place dirty glasses and the rudest staff we have ever encountered will definitely not be back!
This place is solid! Good (and cheap) beers and cocktails, tasty food, friendly staff, and a funky atmosphere.
