I have written a review for the Roessle before, this past Easter. We were a large family group and I found it very good. My wife and I visited again, in the summer this time, and I must say I would not go back. The service was frustratingly slow, and I believe the fault was in the kitchen and not necessarily the waiters (although there were only two for the whole Gasthaus). The restaurant was full on a Wednesday evening, a good sign, and the clientele were largely older, likely retired, Germans. We stayed for dinner in this restaurant after the advice of the reception of our hotel. Fortunately, the reception has booked a table for us, because on arrival the restaurant was completely booked. I was here with a family group (18 altogether) for Easter Sunday dinner (midday). The Rößle was full, i might add. This did not hinder the service nor the quality of the meal - both were excellent. It being Spargel time in southern Germany many had a meal that featured that delicacy, and all enjoyed it. I settled on a steak and it was one of the best I've had. Perfectly cooked, expertly served. If the Rößle staff can manage a very busy day with such ease I believe they can handle all other situations just as well.
