I have been going to Roma when they were just a shopfront pizza pickup across the road on King George's Road. Nick and Sam Russo and siblings and parents run this family business together with local staff who know their regular clientele by sight of not name. Pizza is fabulous and the atmosphere is typically Italian - noisy in a pleasant family kind of way with great traditional food and a style all its own. A really pleasant night out where people can enjoy themselves and the food and wine and just be themselves!
Roma Pizza is a great local pizza restaurant - traditional Italian food, great pizza and homemade pasta. The pizza's are nice and light with just the right amount of topping and the pasta is great, especially the fact it is homemade makes a difference. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is reasonably priced. Highly recommend the meat lovers and capriccosa pizzas and the gnocchi in napoletana sauce. The garlic bread is also amazing - ciabatta loaf with rel butter, garlic and parsley.
The Russo brothers run this wonderful Italian restaurant offering traditional dishes like home-made gnocchi to a range of delicious, generously topped pizzas. The smell of garlic bread greets you and along with the warmed olives and bruschetta, your night of great food, service and ambience begins!The shopping centre carpark across the road is convenient and the pub allows for last minute BYO wine purchases.
What a surprise. We were frequent guests in the 70s and 80s at the earlier premises in Forest Road. Having moved away from Sydney we were sad to find the old Roma no longer there.........until last night we discovered it again, after 25 years. It was like meeting up with an old friend. Still great, friendly and authentic. Well done Roma

We used to come here often but realised that the pasta and pizza are just average nothing spectacular. The price has gone up but the quality did not improve. They refurbished the restaurant but the lighting is still inadequate. This would be our last visit Roma!
I've been coming to this place since day one back in the early 90's and have never left unhappy. After all these years I still look forward to going to Roma. I don't think there's an item on the menu I haven't tried. Amazing pizzas, pastas, veal
We arrived early and enjoyed the surroundings, service was good and the menu varied. we all loved the cabonara, pizza and bolognaise. The homemade red wine was a good choice. Really nice evening. Average price.
There is a reason all other pizza places who have tried to open in South Hurstville fail. Roma uses fresh, delicious ingredients and delivers consistent quality. Staff are friendly and prices are so reasonable

Standard has dropped. Have been here numerous times thru the years however last time I bought people from out of Area. The food was very disappointing the pasta dishes were tasteless. Wont be going back.
That this restaurant is a must if you are in the south Hurstville area.You will not be disappointed in visiting.
