We have visited Gasthof Roming four times since our friends left England to live here locally six years ago and always have had an excellent meal.Examples of the meal were:Prime boiled beef with horseradish sauce,green vegetables and potatoes €14.90.......Sauerbraten (pot roast) with spatzle (dumplings) and mixed salad €14.90...Fried trout fillet with potatoes and vegetables 16.90....Grand Marnier parfait with chocolate and strawberries 6.00Good beer and wine and coffee There is funny opening times so phone first to check (I think they were not open Fridays) ..
The Restaurant was recommended to us by the owners of the house we were renting nearby. We went on a Monday night when the weather was not too good and it was extremely busy. The Wiener Schnitzel was excellent and the Kässpatzn were better than those we had tried elsewhere. The matjesfilet was also very good. The prices were very reasonable. What made it for us was that Herr Roming took the time to chat to us and, having asked if our son liked football, gave him a Bayern München cap.
after cooking is always a challenge to house of corona with a 4-person household and they want to support the local gastronomy, we want to eat something from the surrounding restaurants. Finally it was roming and we were very satisfied. the teller went around and so each of us had four different dishes and one better than the other! grounded kitchen; with much love prepared and honest prizes! we like to repeat this!
Highly recommended, We came from Stegen boat trip and enjoyed dinner here. Cozy beer garden with a small playground for the children. High quality food at a fair price. Good relaxed atmosphere, very friendly family-run restaurant with an absolutely fantastic Wiener Schnitzel on the menu! Closed Fridays - very strange!?
Nice place to have a excellent meal. Food was delicious. The owner is a true gentleman. They have a nice pint of beer too.... Hacker Pschorr. Yummy.
