A quick Google search for 'Mexican near me ' returned Rookies with a 4.5-star rating so we had to check it out. We were in the area for business, so needed a quick in and out lunch. Located in the corner of a strip mall, the outside is unassuming and quite frankly not overly inviting. However, we walked in to cite lively/colorful decor. Although it was quite busy, we were seated right away. Our server was happy, friendly, and pleasant. We asked for her favorite recommendations and she gleefully told us the enchiladas or the three tacos. The food came out quickly, was warm, and well prepared. Portions were good size. We understand the good Google ratings and will return
Ordered nachos and Mexican corn for takeout. Food was ready to go when I arrived. Nachos were excellent. Mexican corn was really good as well. My only complaint was the extra bag of chips. They did not taste awesome. If they are made at the restaurant, the oil needed changed. Overall I enjoyed the meal and will return to try something new.
Always love it here! The service is always timely and polite. The food was amazing, and huge portions! The Fajitas for two have fed us two days! The half-sized part of the nachos was bigger than most places full of size Nachos! Can't wait to go back soon!
Amazing atmosphere and friendly staff. It does get pretty busy especially on the weekends. The complementary chips and salsa was delicious. I'd recommend getting the rookie fries and fajitas trio.
