The restaurant at Sofitel is set to reopen on May 23rd, and I can't recommend it enough for its outstanding service and food. The staff is friendly, attentive, professional, and incredibly courteous. Our meals were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. As a lovely surprise for our anniversary, we received special treatment that made the occasion even more memorable. I highly recommend trying the scallops and barramundi. To top it off, the restaurant waived the parking fee for us. If you're in Surfer Paradise on the Gold Coast, this place is a must-visit!
We had the 12 course degustation (2 for 1 in Tuesday nights). Quite a few good courses. The strangest was the crocodile fat (bone marrow) far too strong for anyone's liking it left a strange after taste (someone likened it to eating petroleum jelly coated in white chocolate). None of our party of 6 ate finished that course but some. People might actually like it. I quite enjoyed the scallops Ceviche, the Crab mini pie, the snail crackers, lamb eggplant, loved the dessert pistachio ice cream.
Beautiful food as always, Andras was very helpful and with a great personality. Loved the new menu, completely different from what we are used, is the devastation menu, but definitely loved the originality. We mention that we celebrated our anniversary and you have added a very nice touch to the end of the night with this beautiful plate with chocolate for us. Thank you for such a great service and good food. Congratulations on the new menu. Andras definitely created a highlight here!
Amazing dining experience. Our favourites was the scallops sirloin steak, beef bourguignon. Excellent presentation. Steak was cooked perfectly and sirloin steak was so tender! It literally melt in the mouth. A bottle of Rosé which was recommended by Kyla, one of the staff, went so well with the food that we ordered, enhanced the dining experience. Overall, an enjoyable evening. Thank you for an excellent service.

We spent a week at Sofitel, and it was a wonderful experience. I visited the restaurant there last night, and the food was exquisite. The staff was incredibly helpful and made excellent recommendations. The chef even personally checked in at each table to chat with the guests. The value was very good as well. We're planning to return tonight with our friends from Gold Coast.
Clever and meticulous Chefs. Amazing presentation of delicious creations. Attentive team however the space lacks ambience, with the furniture settings a little on the casual side. The background music could be more thought out, reminding us of a commercial radio station, but the barman's incredible cocktails helped us to pleasantly numb ourselves to the hummm of it.
I had a wonderful experience at Room81 yesterday. We visited to celebrate our wedding day, and the staff went above and beyond to make it truly special. They surprised us with a complimentary wine and dessert plate to help us celebrate. The food was exceptional, and both the cuisine and service were highly recommended.
The guy working the bar here was absolutely amazing. He had so much care to making cocktails and conversed with the customers intently and genuinely. I would stay at the hotel again just for the awesome service that was received. Thank you!

We only stopped by the bar but the service and dessert samplers were very good. As part of a small tour, one of our group was asked to help prepare the line up of their specialty drinks. Very elegant but warm place to pop into.
