Root to Tail - Table reservation

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. The charcuterie plate was well-prepared. However, one of the appetizers was a warm on the outside and cold on the inside, which seemed off. The snapper was cooked well, but the grits were unevenly warm and mostly cold and gluey, as if they were microwaved. The seafood ravioli also seemed microwaved, with a hard and gummy pasta shell and cold filling. Overall, the food was disappointing. Despite this, the restaurant has potential with a unique menu and great atmosphere, but the kitchen needs to improve.

Very disappointed about this visit. In the past, we really enjoyed our experience. We had reservations at 6:30 Saturday night. When we ordered our meal, the server came back to tell us not even, but twice that they were from the fillet and the soup of the day... at 6:30! I call it bad planning. My husband spoke to the manager who was very nice, but still my husband had put heart on her act. It'll take time to get back. Too many ways to be disappointed in the evening.

I recently had a pasta dish at this restaurant during spring break, but unfortunately it was bland and had no sauce. The service was slow and the restaurant was quite noisy, as there were only a few occupied tables.

The food and service at this restaurant were fantastic. Everything was expertly prepared and our group had a very enjoyable experience.
