Booked over 2 weeks in advanceCame for a special occasionVery disappointed at the table we received. Right near the back door. Didn’t feel like we were actually in the restaurant. Would have expected better having booked in advance. Atmosphere looked good but unfortunately where we were seated, the ambience was ****. Couldn’t see kitchen, out the window or anything. This hindered our experience. Food wise, there were some very good choices. We had to hunt down a waitress to explain a few words on the menu and she was very rushed and dismissive. We had to then call our for ordering wineAnd do the whole smile and nod when we were ready to order. This service and ambience is not something I expe...

TLDR: Generous servings, amazing service and beautiful serene location.<br/ Food<br/ <br/ Thought that we'll only be picking on for each course but we ended up having all of these dishes to share! Needless to say that the serving sizes were generous. The only thing that I did not enjoy was the salumni but this was due to personal preference as the flavours were something that I was not used to.<br/ <br/ PRIMI<br/ Burrata w/ Bello Rosso tomatoes, oregano and olive oil<br/ Salumni misti: wagyu bresaola, mortadella, cacciatore and ventricina<br/ Rigatoni alla Norma<br/ <br/ SECONDI<br/ Grilled Market fish, salmoriglio<br/ Cape Grim flatiron steak tagliata, dragoncello<br/ Twice cooked cri...

The glamorous Rosetta Trattoria is part of Neil Perry’s restaurant empire and is a sleek spot for Italian at The Rocks, decked out with plenty of sumptuous velvet furnishings and mood lighting to set the ambience. We visited for a celebratory dinner with some friends on a Lime Tonic shared menu which allowed us to explore their menu. To start, we enjoyed their creamy Burrata served with juicy Bello Rosso tomatoes and the delicious slivers of mixed Salumi (our favourites were the Wagyu Bresaola and the Ventricina pork sausage).

Neil Perry’s Sydney Rosetta is a different restaurant from his Melbourne Rosetta. The fit out is light, airy and there is a wonderful outdoor terrace to have a drink or two while you are waiting for your table. Even the menu is slightly different as there is very much an emphasis on seafood. Now on to the food. It’s tasty, good quality Italian food. Modern Italian food. Lastly, the service is friendly and the waiting staff are helpful. #rosetta
