lets be clear, i am a beginner skier, so please read my remarks in that context!Rossfeld skihutte is the restaurant on the Rossfled ski area just outside Berchtesgaden. this review is of both the ski area and the restaurant we were there this year, 2016, Jan, which was bad timing as there was very little snow anywhere in the south of Germany.having said that, Rossfeld was open for the days before we left, so we did get to ski.the slopes range from beginner ( never skied), to intermediate ( can ski, but far from expert). i don't think there are any advanced runsthe runs are quite short, but well prepared, and the lifts are in good condition.there is a small restaurant where you can leave your...
We stopped here in the summer of 2015 when we took our hire car on the Rossfeld Panoramastrasse. We returned this year (Jan 2018) when all was white and decided to go on the Rossfeld Panoramastrasse again and stop in here as we had fond...memories. Same great place, food is brilliant, good beer and great service. The two girls serving are all over it and no one waits around for anything. They also have two cats that are very friendly. Can't fault anything and will return in the future. The view is amazing too, like eating at the top of the World.
the quality of food is very low and very expensive. for example, for two slides of brot (white brot for toast) and two slides of cheese (literal 2 slides) they asked 5.9 euro! they wanted to pay in advance before they get the food....That would not be a problem if they were honest and professional.
when the breathtaking view of the panoramic road has made them hungry, make sure to stop at this place. if they have luck, they can sit outside on the terrace and enjoy more of the landscape, but the rooms inside are also very nice and cozy....The service is really fast and the food is delicious.

we stopped eating. very nice service and great meals. we have carved and gulash suppe ate. desert traditionel apfelstrudel and imiserschmarrn. very good, but big. two desserts on 4 people and everything we can not eat.

we just had suppe and beer in this facility. the lookout is spectacular and despite the many people who were there on the day we visited the service was prompt.

Great simple food for good prices. Great all year. New management has added longer opening hours. Just 'urig' with a fantastic view, right @ the ski piste.
