This is the best Peruvian food I’ve ever experienced! Their ceviche mixto is bursting with flavor! I prefer to order it without spice and have the heat on the side so I can add it to my liking, but if you're a fan of spicy food, definitely go for it spicy—you won't regret it! The fish is incredibly tender, and all the seafood works harmoniously with the delightful tang of lime. The small sides of choclo (sweet corn), cancha (toasted corn), and sweet potato add wonderful texture and flavor to the dish. It's an absolute must-try! I had a family-style meal here over the weekend with some friends. To my surprise, the restaurant was quite empty for dinner time. We sampled several different dishes, and I must say, the seafood fried rice was probably my favorite, along with the fried plantains. The food appeared fresh and of high quality, with good flavors. However, most dishes were overshadowed by an excess of salt that was too much for my taste, especially the ceviche. The food arrived quickly, and the staff was friendly, but overall, it didn't meet my expectations given the price. It's worth trying, but I probably won’t return, as there are better options for your money elsewhere.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Highland Park. I used to live in Boston, where I enjoyed some fantastic Peruvian food, but Rosty surpasses them all. They offer excellent vegetarian entrees and an abundance of delicious side dishes like rice, beans, yucca, maduros, salsa criolla, and more—the list just keeps going! The staff is incredibly friendly, the prices are affordable, and the food is served promptly. I highly recommend it—I've been going back at least once or twice a month! 11/10!
The roast chicken was enjoyable, featuring a nice thin and crispy skin. However, the ceviche sauce was a bit overpowering, overshadowing the seafood's flavor. I did appreciate the corn garnishes on the side. The steak fries and vegetable dish were also tasty, but they were slightly over-seasoned. The restaurant's interior has a decent vibe, reminiscent of an upscale Chipotle. While I don’t regret my visit, I think it will be some time before I return.

I've ordered takeout from this restaurant many times, and the food has been consistently good. The sauces that accompany their whole chicken are all delicious, and I particularly love the green sauce. The beans, fries, and plantains are also excellent! There have been a couple of off days, but what I really appreciate is their warm and friendly service. This makes me want to keep supporting them!
The food used to be more affordable and of better quality. The service has always been average—neither great nor terrible. However, this place seems to be closed about half the time. They often have reasons like power outages, the chef being sick, or even staff appreciation days. I've visited numerous times only to find them closed due to these excuses. It's quite frustrating and disappointing.
I drove all the way from Moreno Valley to try this restaurant for lunch, but I left feeling very disappointed. There was absolutely no Peruvian flavor in the food. On the positive side, the service was very good and attentive. However, I won’t be making the long trip again unless there’s a change in the kitchen. Sorry!
Wow, this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time! The food was outstanding, and the staff were incredibly nice and friendly. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, so we were seated quickly. I will definitely be returning soon for more!

Rosty offers the most delicious and succulent chicken you'll find anywhere. The entire menu is impressive, particularly the yuca fries!
