Unsure of what to order, I decided on mini fish and chips with mushy peas, as well as a mixed Gyro Kebab. I chose to dine in once the food arrived, and the staff accommodated me without any issues. I came into the restaurant earlier tonight and loved every second of it. The service was great. All of the staff are very polite and friendly, even though we came in quite late and so delayed their cleaning and home time Sorry They clearly enjoy being there and fit the roles perfectly As also appears to be the case for the manager/owner. He clearly loves the job and sees his staff as family exactly what a business like such requires. We have been here twice now. One eating in and one takeaway. There batter is always gluten free. It's golden and crispy with good quality fish. If you eat in you get offered extra chips. Good luck to you if you can as the fish portions are large. We also shared some onion rings since it is rare I can have these being diagnosed with Coeliac disease. We won't be able to come here without the curry sauce. We both like the mild one and it great too! Well worth a detour if you are in the area.
We ate at the Rothley Fisheries on Tuesday 25th. We had 3 x Fish/Chips/Mushy peas and 1 x Fish/Chips/Curry sauce, Pickled onions, Gherkins and Halloumi Sticks. As the food was of high quality, well cooked and presented. The Young Lady who served us was a delight. I normally include the cost when reviewing a restaurant. Stopped off here on the way home from holiday after looking online for gluten free fish and chip shops. Ordered online before we arrived was very busy which is always a good sign. We had gluten free fish and chips, sausages in batter and mushy peas and it was all lovely. Portions are a good size, unfortunately couldn't eat all the chips. Would definitely recommend.
The gluten-free options at this restaurant are fantastic. All of the batter is gluten-free at all times. My wife, who is Coeliac, was able to enjoy a battered sausage for the first time in 15 years. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating. This restaurant is a great option for dining in or for takeout.
As someone with celiac disease, I felt very confident and comfortable dining at this restaurant. The staff were kind and attentive, and the entire meal was outstanding. The fish was not greasy, the chips were cooked perfectly, and the service was quick. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Been coming to Rothley Fisheries for decades but haven't visited since Covid. Had a lovely fish and chip meal, served very quickly. Lovely, friendly staff here made to feel very welcome. Thankyou to Kirsty and Leanne for being so lovely and welcoming.

Enjoyed a lovely fish chip lunch. Food was freshly cooked and very hot on arrival. Good portions and great taste. We all enjoyed them. Staff really friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back.
