We had lunch on Sunday, and I was impressed by how attentive and helpful the staff were, despite their youth. They were all very friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious! The menu was extensive, with plenty of options for both vegetarians and vegans, and they even offered smaller portion sizes. I had a ploughman’s plate that was fantastic. Great job, everyone! And the prices were very reasonable.
First visit by us, taken by friends who have been there many times before. It was a very busy Sunday lunchtime, we all ate the carvery which was delicious. Staff were very friendly and we didn't have to wait long for drinks or deserts to be delivered. And all at a very good price. Would certainly be back and wholeheartedly recommend it. I had a family dinner at this restaurant, and while I enjoyed my meal, my wife unfortunately did not. My mother ordered the same dish, and they both found it to be quite dirty and lacking in flavor. On a positive note, there was a great selection of beers and apple wines, and the staff were lovely in this traditional pub setting.
10/10 for her to eat and recommend her Sunday karvery! Once you look at the dessert menu, there is always a place to pudding! nice friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. as a family we have come here for years and have tried various other pubs, but we always come to this as our favorite!
