The highlight of Route 12 Taco is definitely the affordable tacos. However, the overall experience feels like a home-cooked meal made with store-bought taco seasoning rather than a restaurant quality offering. If I'm going out for tacos, I expect something more satisfying than what I could throw together on a busy weeknight. Additionally, their dining room is still closed, so if you opt for outdoor seating, be aware that there are no restrooms and no trash disposal available.
The best thing about the place is that the tacos are cheap. Otherwise, it?s like someone with a taco seasoning kit from the grocery store decided to open a restaurant. If I?m going to go out for a taco, I?d hope for something better than the equivalentof a weeknight dinner in a pinch. Also, their dining room is still closed, so if you are planning to eat at one of their outdoortables, there?ll be no bathroom and no trash.
I tried the chicken burrito and it was just average. The chicken lacked flavor and I wouldn’t be surprised if the rice was pre-packaged and the beans came from a can. The price was decent considering the size of the burrito, but overall, it wasn't very tasty. I probably won't return.
I’ve prepared better meals at home. The chicken taco was lacking in seasoning, and the ground beef was overly greasy. The rice and beans served with the meal were rather bland and had no real flavor. If you’re on Route 12 in search of a place to eat, I suggest you keep driving. Book a table now
I've made better food at home. The chicken taco was barely seasoned and the ground beef was very oily. The rice and beans that came with the meal did not taste good and really didn't have any flavor to it. If you're on RT. 12 and looking for something toeat, keep driving by.
I cannot recommend spending your money at this restaurant. The food fell short of expectations. The tacos tasted like they were made with a pre-packaged seasoning, the taco shells felt store-bought, and the salsa had the flavor of something straight from a jar.
The food at Route 12 Taco was amazing, and they offer a few outdoor tables for dining; otherwise, it's takeout only. We're just visiting from out of town, but if I lived here, I would definitely be returning weekly for more of their menu.
The fish tacos are excellent—crispy yet light. They come topped with red cabbage and are served with a wonderful smile. Book a table now
