this lovely cafe/bar is situated at the cross-road in Riudecanyes. The only vredible stop on the way to the Monastry of Escarbout in these wild parts. A levelled terrace shaded with trees and you have Stella beer and the 2-course menu del dias (12 euros) Welcoming and wholesome, the public free car park is just across the street. Don't expect gourmet food here but you will not leave feeling hungry. This tiny town is the remains of those who stayed on after the local hydro dam project finished. A good two hours drive from a road that has a passing place makes for real rural charm.
