We were there for Roast Lunch and we did enjoy our meal but there were one or two problems. Firstly, there were no trays, no glasses for water and no cutlery. The poor lady who was doing everything on her own had to keep stopping to run into the kitchen to get the items that were missing. The roasts of beef, pork or turkey with plenty of vegetables, but, I had turkey and then there was no cranberry sauce or gravy. All this took a great deal of time and the queue was long. How the lovely lady kept so happy I do not know. By the time my husband and I got to the table our food was luke warm and was soon cold. They have a good product but things do need changing to speed up the process. If my fo...

This review is only for the coffee shop and not the entire garden centre. While some may argue that calling it a restaurant is a stretch, they do offer a variety of full meals. We occasionally stop by for coffee and cake, and it is satisfactory with a decent selection. However, during busy times, the service can be lacking. You select a table, remember the number, then line up at the counter to place your order. Your food is brought to you later. We have observed that groups receiving a hot meal may get their food at different times, causing a less than ideal dining experience. It has been noted that no one checks in on you during your meal, but that is not the atmosphere they aim to provide...

The breakfast menu featured a good variety of options beyond the traditional 'Full English'. I opted for Eggs Benedict, which was served on a nice muffin with tasty ham, a perfectly cooked egg, and delicious Hollandaise sauce. The filter coffee was just average. The restaurant overlooks the garden center's plants and statues. Unfortunately, my experience was only average due to the staff's habit of shouting at each other rather than speaking in a more polite manner. Despite not being unfriendly, the constant loud shouting and lack of table service left me feeling unattended to. It seemed as though the staff considered this behavior to be normal in a restaurant setting.

Have been to three or four British Garden Centres locations in the area and I think this is probably the best of those. The menu is the same at all of them (or very similar) but some need updating, and this is probably the best decor which helps you enjoy the food. Menu has a good choice of items without offering too many dishes and unless there is a big rush on then it arrives fairly quickly. After or before you eat the other sales area is worth a trip round and if you are after plants there is a good selection of good quality ones to browse. Book a table now

After 35 minutes i enquired about the missing items.... the lady was Boarderline rude but resolved the issue.... It would have been nice if we could all gave eaten together

I feel the reviews from 2017 give a very bad impression. The staff are friendly, the place is clean and the food is absolutely fine. They serve a very good Sunday lunch which is extremely popular with local residents. Also, I love their cheese scones.

It was my day off so decided to my husband out for lunch. As it was Wednesday the Carvery was on. I had a very nice bit of beef my husband had Turkey. We got there just before 12 it was already quite busy. The staff were friendly.

It isn't really a restaurant here, more a canteen. Menu is large and food is freshly prepared however that's where the positives ends.. Extremely overpriced, food was overcooked and pretty tasteless, chips were bright orange. Book a table now

There were many employees behind the counter who seemed incompetent and confused. An elderly woman was trying to handle the situation. Other customers were complaining about the poor service as I sat there.
