Been using this pub for about a year now, after moving to the village 2 years ago. The owner Faye is just brilliant, always welcoming and has turned this place around in such a short time. Some great live band nights, and quiz once a month. But like all successful businesses, it wouldn't be anything without good staff, and I think Faye has the best staff around. The most fantastic bunch behind the bar, who don't take long to get to know you, and what you drink. In truth this place has been a lifeline for me. celebrate high-time day, eat delicious, beautifully presented with excellent service. had a friend to the royal oak in the following week, which was so enthusiastic with everything she organized a big party to come together. the ambiente was very relaxed and the personal helpful.
I hadn't been to this restaurant in years, but on both occasions, it exceeded my expectations. The Italian cuisine for midweek dinners was fantastic, and the Sunday lunch was equally excellent. The prices for the food and drinks were reasonable, and the staff was very friendly.
This restaurant is a hidden gem with amazing food and exceptional service. The chef is attentive and even took the time to come out and speak to the customers after the meal.

Great pub that welcomes dogs. Enjoyed a pint and a tasty snack at the bar. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Definitely planning to come back.
