I used to like this restaurant. My mom used to live in Orillia 4 years ago and we frequently ate at this place. But when I came back and tried the food, it's just not the same anymore. Chowmien has too much sauce and a little bland, shanghai noodles are too salty, other chicken with rice tasted like few days old. Broccoli tasted fresh and was nicely cooked. Their poutine was so bad. It was packed and busy with the locals on a Sunday night but most of the other restaurants downtown are already closed so I am not sure if they are there coz they want to or they just didn't have lots of option. Just ordered take away. Once again they shorted us on our order. Ordered online, should be zero confusion. Print out of order states it all. Maybe a game they play, hoping you don't notice or perhaps you are willing to overlook. Food costs are high. Restaurants should recognize that people are trying to support them. Please get it right. Appoint an expediter to verify order as its packed up for pickup/ delivery.
we chose this restaurant first because of the great reviews and here is ours. we've always done takeout, but it's always tasty kept hot all the way home. we live 25 minutes away, there are other Chinese restaurants closer to where we live, but we choose here from a ground. the ladies who work in front of the house were always so pleasant with me I can say that they always appreciate them for our dinner plans.
This is the best Chinese food place in the city! The staff is very nice and the food is always good. The delivery is fast. Whenever I crave Chinese food, this is where I go! I highly recommend trying the roasted crispy noodles - they are delicious on their own or in sweet and sour sauce. The General Tso's chicken and Cantonese noodles are also amazing here! we celebrated the Chinese New Year and ordered catering through the royal oak. They went beyond and beyond to help us make it special! eating was absolutely wonderful, they were incredibly friendly and they made sure we had everything we were looking for! we will definitely order again from them and would strongly recommend them to everyone else.
I placed an order with the woman at the counter and specifically requested the sauce on the side. She assured me that the sauce would be on the side, but when I got home, it was all over the food. When I called to address the issue, she was rude and argued with me. I will never dine there again due to the terrible customer service.
1st time Jan 17th 2022, quick for pickup, hot and tasty, fresh crunchy fried or steamed veggies in the chicken and beef dishes we ordered, perfect rice, reasonably priced,friendly staff will definitely return when in town and recommend

I recently spent $50 on lunch at this restaurant. I ordered chow mein but received lo mein instead. To make matters worse, one of the containers wasn't properly sealed and leaked all over my car. I will not be dining here again.
