The rooms had an unpleasant smell, and although I chose this hotel to get away from the city noise, it ended up being quite noisy. I was often woken up at night by slamming doors, loud conversations, and the TV blasting from the neighboring room. The rooms themselves are rather small, and the electrical outlets are inconveniently placed on the opposite side, away from the bed. On the positive side, breakfast was good, offering fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, bacon, and a selection of pastries. Overall, for more than $600 for three nights, I would prefer to stay at a more modern hotel with better soundproofing next time.
I was reluctant to give a one-star rating because the check-in staff were outstanding. However, when we called to report a stain on the floor that resembled blood, the response was dismissive, with someone saying, "Sorry, I'm not housekeeping; what do you want me to do?" It was also disappointing that we couldn't even request an extra blanket, as the staff seemed unwilling to help with such a simple ask. Aside from the disturbing floor stain, the rooms themselves were decent. I wish I could include a photo to show the issue.
I previously wrote a review for the Royal Regency Hotel after a brief visit, but I'd like to update my thoughts after a four-night stay. My experience was wonderful! The hotel was clean and comfortable. Although the rooms are a bit small, they are still cozy. The continental breakfast was quite nice and was replenished regularly. I would definitely stay here again, though I would prefer a larger room next time.
The front desk team at Royal Regency was outstanding. I had excellent experiences with three women and two men, including one gentleman who helped me sort out a significant problem with my hotel reservation. Andre King stood out for his exceptional problem-solving skills, especially during the hectic holiday week. I am truly grateful for their support and assistance.
