We visited Ruocco's on a Saturday night for a large (26 people) family birthday celebration. I booked the table 3 weeks in advance for 7.00pm and was glad I did as when we arrived it was already full and a couple in front of us that did not book were turned away.Considering how big and packed the restaurant was the service was surprisingly good and we were very pleased that they agreed to split the bill with family paying for what they had at the till on the way out.The menu is large with many choices and reasonably priced. I was here six years ago when I visited and was very happy. Now I've moved here I thought I would impress my son when he visited with his family. What a huge mistake. We were firstly disappointed how long it took just to order and the order took fifty minutes while we waited with a one year old. Yes the place was busy there was nowhere to wait all the seats were taken. When we pain for the $92 of pizzas they were so bad there was hardly anything on them. They made them in the last five minutes we were waiting. I would never recommend anyone to go there again. My son said it was the worst pizza and he comes from Werribee Victoria he's ever didn't eat more than three quarters was thrown out it...
Not sure what is happening with this restaurant as in the past the meals have been very good but not now. We ordered the Insalata di Tonno (seared tuna & salad) and the Misto Fritto (dusted & fried seafood with salad). Both were just ok. The seared tuna was nicely done but the salad was very dry as if it had been just sitting out on the table for a while. Not sure what happened to its dressing. The dusted & fried seafood and not much of it had no flavour and was very crumbly, the salad was nice with a nice dressing. The pictures on the website are no indication of what the meals will look like when you get them. Like other comments we told the waitress about the food which fell on deaf ears....
Had a family birthday dinner at Ruocco's recently and the place was very busy, probably because of school holidays.The atmosphere was great, really humming, but unfortunately it was quite noisy which was the only negative to the experience.The staff were very friendly, the service more than adequate and they even let us split the bill payment which is somewhat unusual in some restaurants.We had a selection of pizzas, calzone and pasta and overall the food was sensational, all our party really enjoyed it. The menu selection is truly amazing, never seen a larger menu than this before, so hard to decide!Loved it; highly recommended and I'll be back again for sure,

They are a hit or miss with takeaway, most of the time it's disappointing. It used to be really good when we first moved to the area in 2010ish however quality has been slowly declining and as such we don't order from here very often - only when other restaurants aren't open. Their pizzas however have usually been good, just the pastas and parmigiana (chewy) would give a miss if it's a bad chef night. Pick up your game and bring back the flavours and proper cooking techniques from before. Prices are expensive (always have been) for what you get - sub par - especially for take away.
Ruocco's has always been my favourite pizza place in Western Australia. But the last time we went there the pizza base was soggy and the crust was far over cooked, they made another one but they should not have brought to the table burnt! It appears that they are cutting on the dough. The pizza was thinner than usual and a bit smaller. The Ruocco's Special, usually my favourite was too salty and toppings more skimpy than usual. Ruocco's you use to Rock! Now the quality is going down. What a pity. Not impressed!
Had lunch alfresco with friends.Good pizza shared for entree.Four good mains of hearty italian food in large portions.Good Italian wine .Service very good.Price fair.Better outside if weather ok as it is undercover.Large menu and large specials menu so spoiled for choice.Still one of the best Italian restaurants around.
Delish pasta & a cracker plate of seafood. I'm sure the Pizza is great too but we didn't order it this time. When I saw it delivered to other tables it made me jealous. Reasonably priced & quick service. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is hungry!!

Ruocco's is definitely the best restaurant Fremantle. We frequently eat lunch and dinner here with family and friends. The food is amazing and the menu is huge. We love the atmosphere and the staff are lovely. I highly recommend this place :)
Only two staff so service was difficult. Nowhere near the standard of the last time I visited. The spaghetti Bolognese was "stiff" and should not be served this way.
