I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The ambiance was inviting, and the staff were very friendly. My waiter, whose name I unfortunately don’t remember, was attentive and kind. We ordered rib eye steak, sweet potato casserole, Caesar salad, and mac and cheese. The restaurant is conveniently located near Short Hills Mall, and if the mall happens to be closed, you can easily find it next to Legal Seafood by driving around the perimeter. The mac and cheese was fairly average and could use a bit more seasoning. While the sweet potato pecan-crusted casserole was enjoyable, it was quite sweet. I was tempted to try the bread pudding, but after all the sweetness, I decided to skip...
First time to Ruth’s Chris and the location is very nice, large, and well kept. Hakeem the first person to make contact with us was very friendly and quickly made contact with my wife and I to greet and set up the introduction to Jorge our server. Jorgewas very friendly asked if it was our first time at the restaurant and if we needed advice on what to order and make suggestionsas needed. The food was quickly brought out we were made aware as it came out to not touch the plates as they were extremelyhot. The steak was cooked to the exact point we asked for and the creamed spinach and cremini mushrooms were very well prepared.Will be returning very soon as the overall experience was excellent...
I had my first experience at Ruth's Chris, and I was truly impressed by the beautiful, spacious, and well-kept restaurant. Hakeem, the first person we met, greeted my wife and me warmly and promptly introduced us to our server, Jorge. Jorge was very personable; he asked if it was our first time dining there and provided great recommendations for our meals. The food came out quickly, and we were cautioned not to touch the plates, as they were incredibly hot. The steak was cooked exactly how we wanted it, and the creamed spinach and cremini mushrooms were superbly prepared. Overall, the experience was fantastic, with exceptional service and delicious food. I will definitely be back soon!
Had a nice experience dining here. The atmosphere is warm the staff were friendly. My waiter (who’s name I of course forgot) was sweet accommodating. We ordered the rib eye steak, sweet potato casserole, Caesar salad Mac and cheese. It’sconveniently located via short hills mall or if the mall has closed, its adjacent to Legal Seafood if you drive around the malloutskirts. The Mac and cheese was just ok and could use a bit more flavor as delicious as the sweet potato pecan crustedcasserole was, it is incredibly INCREDIBLY sweet. I wanted to try the bread pudding but after the sugar overload I passed ondesert. Either way, give it a try!

The staff at Ruth's Chris Steak House is friendly and the service is prompt. The chopped salad was outstanding. However, the NY strip steak was disappointing—tough and gristly with very little flavor beyond the butter it was cooked in. The presentation was also underwhelming. At $35, it would have been a letdown, but at $60, it was even more frustrating.
