I ordered a petite filet mignon cooked medium/well, but what I received was a medium/rare filet. I sent it back because it was too rare for my taste. When the replacement came, it was overcooked and extremely well done. The manager was very kind and took care of the situation by placing a new order for me. However, the new filet mignon was also disappointing. It was a flat piece of meat surrounded by fat, which is not what filet mignon should be like, as it is typically a thicker cut with no fat. I decided to pack it up and didn't say anything at the time. Overall, I'm very disappointed with the quality of food at this location.
Great restaurant, great service, great food. Went there New Year’s Eve. Tables nicely spaced, waitress was professional, knowledgeable and attentive. Hubby and I started with the lobster bisque which was delicious. Hubby had the Cowboy Ribeye and I had their holiday special which was two lobster tails and a 6oz Filet Mignon. We ordered the garlic mashed potatoes and cream of spinach as our sides and both enjoyed our meals. The crusty bread they place on the table was very good as well. We left there very satisfied with our dining experience.
The steak was incredibly delicious. I ordered the 11oz filet along with a lobster tail, while my wife opted for the 6oz filet and shrimp. We chose items from the prix fixe menu, which included a salad, dessert, and two side dishes. The cheesecake was absolutely amazing. Tom and Brayan (yes, that's correct) were very attentive to our needs. They also had Stella on tap, and my wife enjoyed a blueberry sidecar, both of which were fantastic. I highly recommend Ruth Chris.
We usually go to the Ruth Chris in Westbury. This was the first time going to Melville. The restaurant is beautiful. The tables are far apart from each other. It was NYE and we really appreciated that they had a standard menu not a set NYE menu. The food was excellent. The service was outstanding. I will definitely be going back

Been to different locations of Ruth Chris but last nights dinner was amazing !!! Best steak I ever had. Cooked perfectly. And our waiter Sean was attentive and on top of things our whole evening. Can’t wait to return to Melville location.
The service was great! Our waiter Celvin was superb. The food was good, however I think Garden City's the food is seasoned better.
Outstanding! I just wish the prices were a bit lower so that I could become a regular customer.
