pleasantly surprised that eating at my recent visit was an enormous improvement from my previous visit a few years ago. it is really of a very good standard now, and worth for money. if they are 're drinking around sherwood with a curry planned for the end of their night, this is their best option. I think there is only one other close, but it does not serve alcohol and takes a more modern approach to the menu, which means that standard favorite curries are not available. they think saagar is traditional British Indian dishes.
The food from the restaurant itself is lovely and I could not fault it. However, what ruined it for us was the delivery driver. Immediately after placing the order I had a passive aggressive and hostile phone call from the delivery driver. In person he was very rude and also clearly trying to come across as intimidating. Would not order from this restaurant again solely down to the delivery drivers they hire. Again, this is a shame as the food was lovely. Very disappointed.
have just eaten here with a friend for birthday. I love curry and ate here when I lived in sherwood. I forgot how good saagar is. the food was mouthwatered tonight. we could say that it was freshly cooked as they could taste the fresh ingredients with each mouth. the service was friendly and friendly. I've eaten here and I haven't been disappointed today. my friend had never been to saagar and said it was one of the best curries she had ever had.
Beautiful decor, polite, timely and helpful staff. Meal from beginning to end was excellent pickle tray and poppadoms then lamb puri and salmon sida followed by lamb and a prawn rogan josh with naan bread and pilau rice. . Served with iced drinks and then a hot wipe at the end. Well worth a visit and I can see why it has won awards.Thank you for a lively night.

Lovely food and happy to send me takeaway on Tuesday regularly as they not busy first time I order on a Saturday refused won't be using this restaurant again many more good ones on the net that will deliver Sat and not just use customers for when they are not busy but excellent food shame about service disgrace
The food was good, however there was a dish missing from my order. I tried several times to call the restaurant to only get through to the answer machine each time. I left a message to advise of the missing dish, I have not received a call back. Extremely disappointed. I will not be ordering from these again.

I have randomly ordered a few of this restaurant. of times and was always so impressed by eating and service. I ordered twice and always comes freshly hot and tasty. I would definitely get this restaurant back if they want a decent curry. this is my new favorite
