The rice was nice and the slopes gobi was pleasant once you poured off the oil, which made up about a quarter of the dish. The chapati would have made good shoe leather but once you chewed through it the taste was OK. The King Prawn Rogan however was disgusting. Enough oil to deep dry the dish, utterly disgusting. Once the oil was removed as best we could we started to rummage for the king prawns but were rewarded with a few fragments of prawnlike pieces. The real horror was still to come, when we actually tested it. Never in my life have I tried to eat anything so salty. I'm sure sea water would have been more palatable. I couldn't tell you anything about the dish other than it was nice sal...
It is the best curry in surrey. The food is always lovely and so is the sauce. The prices are quite high but it is totally worth it as it is lovely. The reason this isn't 5 stars is because some times the people working there wont accept card and sometimes they will. I once paid with card and an extra 70 quid with taken out of my account. So i went down to the store to confront the owner. I did eat my lovely curry first though. I then went in the shop and started shouting my mouth off. I was not very happy. The owner refused to give me the 70 quid that was taken out off my account. I was very angry and had enough so a sparked the owner with one punch and grabbed so narm bread and left. Still...
Saffron is our local Indian takeaway and we have used it previously. Our New Year’s Eve takeaway was dreadful. Firstly they refused to take debit card very rudely and said it was cash only which we have never had from them before. When we finally got our order most of it was not labelled so we had to guess with two dishes being non recognisable! The chicken in all the dishes was rubbery and chewy and not edible at all. Overall the whole meal was a total let down and the only reason we didnt go back and complain was because we were with friend and just wanted to enjoy our evening. Most of the food got binned. We will never nor will our friends use saffron again.
