I live by myself in Stuttgart and have been going to Safran for the last 3 years. I normally buy about 40 E worth of food and enjoy for multiple sittings. I do not normally write reviews, but doing so after a long time. I have been to pretty much every restaurant that has kabob in the menu. Not everyone can cook kabob just the way it is meant to be. Akbar and the family at Safran has mastered Persian/Iranian food. My favorites are the 3 different kabobs as well as the Fasenjan. I have tried the other dishes and all have been perfected. We went to this restaurant as a family, looking forward to authentic persian food after a having spent a nice day in Stuttgart. The service was awful! The gentleman who served the food did throw the plates towards us with an attitude. We were all confused... They also informed us they do not accept card payments and we had to look around for a cash point for some time... This restaurant is a discredit to hospitable nature of Iranians. The Kebab “ Koobideh” was distasteful. The strange thing is the lady who supposedly was helping us with the menu told us to go for the the cheaper options as the more expensive ones are for the “Germans” as they have “no idea what they pay for”!!! Die Lokalität kannte ich noch von früher, unter anderem Namen, mit anderer Bewirtung. Das Safran ist ein gelungener Nachfolger, ehrliche persische Küche, viele Fleischgerichte (auch Grill), kein Fisch, drei vegetarische Hauptgerichte, und auch vegetarische Vorspeisen. Diese darf man nicht verpassen! Am Eingang wird man bereits darauf hingewiesen, dass keine Kreditkarten akzeptiert werden und die Wartezeiten ggf. auch mal länger sein können. Wenn man das berücksichtigt, hat man einen perfekten Abend! Sehr zu empfehlen.
