True score is probably a 2.5/5 can't quite give it a 3. Sad to say from what I ordered, the food wasn't that great. From the outside you can't really see much but the inside is very well designed and clean. Place impresses when you walk in. The service I got from my takeout order was not very friendly, the man who seemed like the owner doesn't offer much of a personality let alone a hello. Ordered uthappam and chili paneer. The paneer was the hero but to be honest is a pretty simple dish that most indian places offer. The dish is fine and classic, not really any different from what you could get anywhere. However I was really disappointed with my uthappam, it looked rushed and tasted rushed....

Food was good..but they are cheap b . First they charge 3 yr old child for kids buffet..especially when we ordered chapati for the 3 yr old....while most friendly desi restaurants don't even bother to charge under 5 yr old. 2nd..they add a 18% gratuity for buffet.our bill was 82 for 4 adults and 4 children (2 were under 5). And they add 14 bucks gratuity. 2 ailies split the bill and both..like fools..added tip not knowing the added gratuity..ailiesdded the guy watches without alertmg.and collectively we paid 14 dollars in tips.. Will never go back there..take the SAI out of the name..swami never likes people who are cheap and greedy. There are many other ways to earn more money..don't rip us...

My friend and I visited this restaurant for dinner on a Tuesday night, and it was surprisingly quiet, with only two other tables coming in after us. I'm not sure if it was due to slow business or if this is just the waiter's typical behavior, but he was quite pushy in trying to persuade us to order the most expensive items on the menu, as well as an appetizer when we had only intended to order entrees. This made for an awkward and unenjoyable experience. The food itself was just average; the vegetable pakoras were underseasoned, and while the dosas were large, they were pretty standard. Additionally, I found the prices to be quite high compared to other places I've been to for dinner. Next t...

Met some friends here recently for the lunch buffet, it was our first visit, and we really enjoyed it. There was plenty of selection on the buffet, including 8-10 mains/entrees, several breads and rices, some yogurts, pickled mango (I think? , onion and potato pakora, and a few other items. Plenty of variety and all of it was fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed that several of the dishes were medium to hot in terms of spiciness, rather than being blanded-down for the american palette. The service was good, but not much required at a buffet, just refilling our drinks from time to time, and it wasn't very busy on a Monday. I would definitely go back! Positives: Good variety on buffet, food w... Book a table now

Absolutely the best South Indian food I've had in a while. Coming from NY I've always had this one spot in Jackson Heights, Queens for my dosa cravings. Always wondered if I could ever find my place over here and I'm so glad I've found this place. The dosas were amazing, crispy with really delicious potatoes, the idlis were soft and fluffy, the chole bature was mind blowing, it had a flavor profile of tamarind or some sort of pickle with packed more flavor to a already flavorful dish. So glad we picked this place. The restaurant was clean. Another thing we really liked is how the place advocates not wasting any food. Definitely coming back with family and bringing along more friends.

This review is specifically for breakfast. I was delighted to discover a South Indian restaurant that opens early for breakfast! It was a wonderful way to start the day with crispy dosa, steaming hot idlis, and filter coffee. We called ahead to request the dosa be ready since we were in a rush, and it was served to us as soon as we were seated! The service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. In terms of flavor, the food was good, though not exceptional. It certainly satisfies your cravings. Additionally, the restrooms were clean.

Come here for the buffet. Lots of different options. Fresh food. Silver plates. It feels like a self-serve South Indian temple. Moreover, the food is a bit on spicier side, so it really is like a South Indian temple. I was amazed by the options in the buffet and the quality of each dish. There is something about how nicely warm and hot each dish was, and how the favors melted in my mouth. I am coming back here again soon.

This restaurant is a charming, family-owned gem! Everything on the menu is vegetarian, and the owner was very helpful in pointing out the vegan options for us. Each dish was fresh and absolutely delicious. My favorite was the paneer dish, and I also really enjoyed the fresh dosas they served at the table! Book a table now
